Boom goes the dynamite!  Ladies and Gentlemen, Pirates and Ninjas, Pimps and Hoes, Jocks, Cheerios and Glee geeks, the fall semester has officially kicked off!

Lush Rush and Pyromania begin Monday baby, and you’re invited to the best week you’ll ever partially remember!  Awesome parties, dirt-cheap specials, and awesome food and drinks to keep your newly Beijing acclimated bodies pumped and partying all week long!

Lush beats Maison Boulud in Round 1, time to vote in Round 2!

Round 2, fight!

Lush won against Maison Boulud in the first round of The Beijinger’s Burger Cup, but now we need your help to win the next round. Please click the link and vote for Lush! (Round 2 voting ends on Monday morning!)

In Round 2, Lush faces a new brand of competitor. Home Plate is a fairly new restaurant, but being new, they have a shiny, baby-fresh reputation and the popularity that comes with being the new kids on the block. Lush has been servin’ up burgers for almost 8 years, and almost everyone who’s come through Wudaokou has created memories, partied it up, and partaken of our awesome food at some point in their Beijing careers. Vote for Lush for The Beijinger’s Burger Cup!

Hey all you amazing Lush-ies? Lush-in-knights? Lush-ese? Lush-ians? How about this… Wudaokou Warriors, unite!

As you may or may not know, The Beijinger magazine is throwing a contest for Beijing’s favorite burger, called aptly, the Burger Cup,<— click and vote for Lush, if you think we’re better than the competition!

Lush beat out La Bamba in the preliminary rounds to get seated in the First Round against one of Beijing’s top restaurants, Maison Boulud. While they admittedly make an amazing burger, we’d like to think our in-house, ground beef in our homemade buns, with customizable toppings for (less than 1/3) the price of MB’s burger is quite an amazing deal to be had in our humble little city. So we’re asking for your vote! Pub Quiz Recap (April 20th, 2011)

Winners – Boobies on the Brink lock in first place and enjoys a delicious bottle of Jack Daniels for their effort. Southbound, not to be denied, takes second place, and Fahrenheit 420 (Pleasant Goat) lands solidly in third to enjoy a bucket of ice-cold Tsingdaos.

Leaderboard – With this week’s round, we’re halfway through the 10 week leaderboard.  As of today, Southbound Pachyderm leads the charge with 29 points. Following closely behind with 27 is Boobies on the Brink. Quiz in my Pants, at 20 points, rounds out the top 3 teams.  After them, The Dove Brothers 15, Kidneys Come & Go 12, and Tongzhimen 12, for all the teams that are currently rocking double digit point values.

Winners – Southbound Pachyderm grab first place for the first time this leaderboard, followd by The Dove Brothers, and Quiz in my Pants to round out the top three.

Leaderboard – Southbound Pachyderm takes the lead this week from Boobies on the Brink, and Quiz in my Pants holds strong to third place.  Still anyone’s game as the leaderboard approaches midstream, every team still has the chance to take first (or lose it) in the coming weeks!

Side note: Schneider Weisse is way too strong to drink while hosting a pub quiz!   I think I’ll stick to Coors Lite from now on…
