Pub Quiz Recap! (Nov 3rd, 2010)
Categories – English = Evil, Jason’s Canada Round Eh?, The British and their Empire, Dave’s awesome British scoundrel “Who am I” round, and of course British Music
Winners – Southbound Pachyderm comes back from a couple of weeks of losses to take back first place and strut their dominance over the competition once again! In second, Pink on the Brink proves they are still a force to be reckoned with, and Quiz in my Pants leads the rest of the pack with third place.
Sample Question – Despite the fact that the character from the comics comes from Germany, Poland, and eventually Israel, the movie version of this classic bad guy is portrayed, expertly I might add, by an Englishman. Who played Magneto in the X-Men films?
Last Week’s Answer – Never get them wet, Keep them away from bright light, and of course, never ever feed them after midnight.

Winners – After 4 weeks of coming either 2nd or 4th, Nuns with Guns finally rocked into first place to enjoy their bottle of Jack Daniels and kick it old school drunk style! Falling behind them by just a half point, Southbound continues their stream of success, and in third place, Pink on the Brink who continues to always show well, even though they haven’t won the top spot yet this semester.
Sample Question – (Cartoons) This was a big 4 point question, but it was super tough to get more than a point: South Park: Everyone knows the names of the 4 boys, but can you tell me the names of their parents? 1 point for each correct set of parents’ names. Spoiler if you haven’t seen the last season of South Park!

Leaderboard – I’ve finally updated the complete leaderboard and I can say with confidence that with 3 first place wins and 2 seconds, Southbound Pachyderm is rocking ahead of the rest of the competition. Nuns with Guns with their solid performances is holding on to second place, and behind them in third is Pink on the Brink, with Kidneys Come and Go holding on to 4th.

Winners – Southbound Pachyderm, invigorated from their win last week, came back to win the top prize yet again, proving again that no matter how many team members they lose, they are the team to beat again this semester. Nuns with Guns had a solid showing with second place, and third place was battled out in a tie between Damn my Anus Hurts and Pink on the Brink, with Pink winning out for third and the bucket of Tsingdaos.
