Spain wins the 2010 World Cup

With their first ever World Cup win, Spain sealed a place in history as they raised the World Cup trophy in victory on Sunday night.  So, good on you boys!

Further, we want to extend our deep appreciation for the fans of all the World Cup teams who came and made Pyro their locale of choice for the games this year!

And finally, being a card-carrying US American, I can’t depart without a little jab at all the football (soccer) fans…  In 2014, you all had better step it up, because we’ll be bringing it, and it won’t be any of this 1-0, with 117 minutes of pussy-footing the ball around hoping for a chance to open in the final minutes.  (BTW, I’m keenly aware USA lost to Ghana in extra time, 1-0… that just makes this all the funnier.)

Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

Alright, its been a week since we were knocked out of the World Cup by Ghana, and now we need a reason to get loud, drink beers, shoot tequilas, and sing patriotic songs till we run completely out of breath.  Fourth of July baby!  It’s time for us all to show our American pride, even if you’ve never set a foot on the beautiful soils of the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Its true, we can be overly patriotic even when we’re sitting alone in a bar, completely separated from any of our countrymen, but Sunday that all changes, and everyone can come in and enjoy the amazing display of music and speeches, our national anthem, that speech from Independence Day, cheap burgers, beers, and tequila shots, and just have an awesome time!

So come on down to Lush, squeeze in and find a place to stand, sit, or dance around like a crazed lunatic and celebrate our Independence Day!

Ladies, I hope you brought a change in undergarments. Gentlemen, prepare to have your manhood shattered and your girlfriend’s wishing you were suddenly a smooth-singing Asian boy from Texas.  That’s right everyone, Tavey will be in the house tonight, rocking his soulful voice, reminding everyone that Summer is all about chillin with a nice cold beer and hearing some kick-ass music while you lay down that smooth mack on that girl in the short skirt, or show off that sexy little number you just picked up from a street vendor for 25rmb.

Yeah, summer definitely kicks ass!

World Cup! Olé, Olé, Olé…

Ok, so its July and I’m just now throwing in a post about the World Cup.. What can I say?? I was watching the games and too excited to remember to throw up a post about the games before we actually started showing them!  Well, judging by the crowds and the amazing turnouts we’ve seen, you guys didn’t need to see a post on LushBeijing.com to know that Pyro is the place to watch the World Cup!

All throughout the World Cup, any night there are games, we’ll have 15rmb pitchers of Tsingdao from 7pm till the last game finishes, so come on down, get your drink on, and get ready to watch the world’s best footballers in action!  See you there!
