Pyro will remain the same 10am – 1am
During Chinese New Year (Feb.9th-17th) both Lush and Pyro will be open 11am – 10pm.
Open Mic, Live Music and Beer Pong will be cancelled during Chinese New Year!

We have some new equipment arriving Monday, Sept. 17th that should help us to faster serve up the awesome Pyro pizzas you’ve come to love! What that does mean however, is that we will need to close up for the morning and afternoon in order to have the new equipment installed and remove the old stuff. We’ll be open as normal on Sunday, Sept. 16th. and if all goes to plan, we should be open again by Monday evening around 6pm. If it happens that we’ll need to close longer than 6pm on Monday, keep an eye out for an updated post online.

New to Beijing? We have all been there at some point. Feeling a little confused and out of place? Again, we have all been there. And sometimes we still do. But you know what, that’s part of the reason we enjoy living in this city so much. It’s a strange, but fun world to live in.
To increase the amount of fun and reduce the strangeness, we have the WU. Also know as Lush and Pyro Pizza respectably. Now, I could go over the whole history of Lush and Pyro, but that’s more fun to tell you in person over a drink or two. For now all you need to know is that we are here, we like to party and we would love to meet you. So come out to one of our many events, incl. Pub quiz, beer pong and open mic nights.

Sincere apologies for the cancelled event. Believe us, no-one is more upset than we are that our biggest party of the year, months of planning, 8 year celebration, and first return to the Great Wall in 7 years got ruined by this natural disaster. If there was any way we could have held the party safely (and gotten everyone back in one piece) we would have.
We’re very sorry, but due to force majeure and as stated on the ticket, it is non refundable.
To salvage the situation we’re taking over the first floor of Tango this Friday night with the Yen DJ’s on the decks and Lush/Apertivo manning the bars.
We understand you’re just as upset as we are about this so we’re providing free entry and 200rmb worth of free drinks with your Great Wall ticket (300rmb and a VIP ticket for VIP ticket holders). Just present your GW ticket or wristband at the door and we’ll take care of the rest.
If you can’t make it this Friday then we’ll give you the exactly same deal for our Fetish Halloween or our Countdown New Years’ Eve party.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding. In 8 years and 34 parties, this is the first time we’ve ever had to cancel an event. We held out hope as long as we could, but when the rain started to come down at 8pm at the Hebei location it was clear that it would not be possible.

Lushdependence Day!Another awesome day of celebration at Lush for the 4th of July, thanks of course to Jeff and Clark for the fantastic live music, and all of you for coming out to join us and sing and dance and cheer your hearts out! Also, a mini shout out to myself for pressing through one of the worst bouts of flu I’ve had in years to still try and bring a spirited quiz.
The energy and enthusiasm always shows just how amazing us US expats can be, and its always a pleasure to host such a fantastic night of partying. You guys did us proud and exhausted our supply of 10rmb PBRs (even though we had ordered much more than last year) and after the day had ended, you all consumed more than double the amount of beer when compared with last year. I’d call that another feat of epic patriotic pride (and likely some very full bladders.) And that doesn’t even take into account all the shots that I saw being passed around before I left.
All in all, a rockstar showing from everyone involved. Dancing, singing, partying, cheering and of course drinking till after 3 in the morning. Now that’s definitely the right way to celebrate a country’s birthday!

Leaderboard – Quite obviously, Pink on the Brink with their two wins in a row, stand atop the board of leaders. Behind them, Quiz in my Pants holding strong in second, and tied for 3rd down the line of leaders, Kidneys Come and Go, and Parasailin’ with Sarah Palin. Don’t forget though, points add up, and it only takes a couple good showings to take over one of the top spots, so get out there and kick some quizzical ass!
I never like seeing anyone get on a plane and put China behind them, and its definitely not easier when its someone like Cindell who’s been a big part of the Wu scene for so long, but we wish her well in the future! One hell of a sendoff though! We’ll miss you my dear, and hopefully we’ll have a welcome back party before you get too comfortable back home!

Tuesday night saw the most people ever complete the Pyromania Century Challenge at Pyro Pizza!
