With their first ever World Cup win, Spain sealed a place in history as they raised the World Cup trophy in victory on Sunday night. So, good on you boys!
Further, we want to extend our deep appreciation for the fans of all the World Cup teams who came and made Pyro their locale of choice for the games this year!
And finally, being a card-carrying US American, I can’t depart without a little jab at all the football (soccer) fans… In 2014, you all had better step it up, because we’ll be bringing it, and it won’t be any of this 1-0, with 117 minutes of pussy-footing the ball around hoping for a chance to open in the final minutes. (BTW, I’m keenly aware USA lost to Ghana in extra time, 1-0… that just makes this all the funnier.)
